Gracious Giving Gatherings

Many Hands, Many Fields, Same World.

Some families already give through a donor-advised fund of their own. They don't need another place to put money. What they often miss is company: people to pray with, homework they can trust, and the quiet joy of seeing many gifts land on the same good work at once. That is what a Gracious Giving Gathering is.

Recommend Together, Never Pool.

Your fund stays exactly where it is, with your own sponsor, under your own name. We never hold it, we never direct it, and nothing is ever combined. What we share is the season, the homework and the prayer. Each family recommends from its own fund, and each sponsor decides on its own.

The same careful habit runs through all of it: every grant names its charity by EIN or website, so every recommendation names the right charity.

How a Season Goes.

  1. 1We Share the Homework

Each season the committee checks the charities the circle has gathered and writes up what it found. Circle families see the same slate and the same notes the members do.

  2. 2You Pray It Through at Home

Around your own table, with your own people. Nobody is asked to match anyone, and nobody sees what you give unless you tell them.

  3. 3You Recommend From Your Own Fund

If your heart is in it, you recommend a grant from your own donor-advised fund to the same charity, in the same season. Your sponsor makes its own decision, the same as always.

  4. 4We Give Thanks Together

When the season closes, we gather and give thanks for what went out. The fund statement tells the circle’s part. Your part stays yours to share or keep.

What It Is Not.

  • Not a pool. No family's money is ever combined with anyone else's.
  • Not a directive. Nobody tells your fund what to do, and your sponsor always has the last word.
  • Not a competition. There are no totals to beat and no names on a leaderboard.
  • Not a promise. Recommending a grant is not the same as a grant being made, and we never say otherwise.
  • Not a way to pay for anything. A grant from your fund can't cover an event ticket, a pledge, or anything that benefits you.

If you would also like to give into the circle's own fund, you are welcome to. Everything on How It Works applies the same way.
